I've been invited to talk on a panel with 3 other published authors at the California Homeschool Network (CHN) Family Expo in Torrance this weekend. I met with Blair Lee, Krisula Moyer and my friend Elena Brem last month. If you're in the area, hope you can join us. It's going to be so fun! Below is a flyer for the event. Clicking on it will enlarge it.
Awesome day at the Young Authors' Faire at the Aliso Viejo Library with some of my very talented young author friends. We got a chance to share our work at the group's table and during the stage performance time. Also met more inspiring, aspiring writers.
It's been a very busy last several weeks preparing for all the different art exhibits around town. But this weekend, I had the pleasure of spending it at a charming library, whose structure replicates the 1900's home, located on the Irvine Ranch Historic Park. Of course, I'm talking about the Katie Wheeler Library. I am honored to have my artwork on display in their Youth Art Exhibit upstairs during the entire month of May. In conjunction with the exhibit, I was also invited as a guest speaker for the Writer's Ink Workshop for 1st through 3rd graders. I was greeted by a room full of enthusiastic kids. I also got to meet a group of inspiring teen volunteers who run the weekly workshop.
At the Kids Marketplace back in June, I had the fortune of meeting Joanne Tupas-Parsons, who runs the Junior Apprentice Circle. She invited me to chat with the group. I got to share my experience with their aspiring writers and made some new writing buddies! The picture below is linked to a YouTube audio recording of the talk.
